S. c. ciliaris

Strophurus ciliaris ciliaris as well as S. wellingtonae is one of its family’s biggest exemplars. There are black/brown animals but also almost white ones. The spines at their tails, which are usually well-developed, vary in their color between black, yellow and orange. S. c. ciliaris is a really peaceful contemporary and therefore can definitely be kept together with other males.
