S. taenicauda

Strophurus taenicauda is the most colorful representative of the Ciliaris-group. The red eyes and the partly orange tail are its two most conspicuous features. The shade of its tail varies between yellow, orange and brown whereas the color widely runs across its back as a dorsal stripe. There are two variants of S. taenicauda. While you can find animals having white or even green eyes there exist also exemplars possessing a striped tail.
