D. polyophthalmus

Among the Diplodactylus is probably unique in number and variation of colors. Next to deep green and yellow animals there are also quite light-colored ones without any visible proportion of green. Therefore its outer appearance is already an evidence for the vegetation within its natural biotope. Its actual habitat is located in the southern corner of West-Australia which is, in the middle of the year, one of the wettest areas. That is why its kind should be kept rather humid. In summer the temperature should not be beyond 85°F.
